Navy Neck Tattoo Policy 2024. The new rules allow a tattoo on your neck, even behind your ear. The military services now have some of the most liberal tattoo policies they’ve ever enacted, to include allowing neck, hand and ear tattoos in the army, navy and space force.
The coast guard recently approved updates to its tattoo policy which authorizes an additional tattoo location behind the ear and expands the location. Prior rules prohibited any neck tattoos and limited the amount of ink that could be shown on forearms or legs.
